Allison Sambol | Principal

Allison is a scientist, geographer and strategic thinker who leads our Great Plains Environmental team. With more than 20 years of work in NE, IA, SD, KS, and CO, she is passionate about weaving environmental stewardship into transportation projects. Allison has extensive technical expertise, regulatory knowledge and a roll-up-your sleeves tenacity that helps DOT’s and Local Public Agencies successfully comply with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). She is a pro at managing and preparing reliable NEPA documents to meet deadlines, budgets and FHWA requirements. Her specialties include agency coordination, impact analysis, environmental justice (EJ), hazardous materials reviews, public involvement and facilitating technical trainings. She believes truly excellent transportation solutions are sustainable and incorporate the natural and human environment.
