Patrick R. Stein, PE | Executive Vice President

Patrick Stein is a structural engineer with a passion for transportation excellence. He joined FHU in 2005 and was appointed Executive Vice President in 2025. Patrick plays a critical role in driving the company’s strategic direction, fostering client relationships, and supporting technical teams in delivering exceptional results. Based in Colorado, he has worked extensively across regions, contributing to major projects along the Front Range, as well as in South Dakota, Wyoming, and Nebraska. He is a trusted advisor to departments of transportation, counties, municipalities, and contractors on the design and construction of large-scale interchanges, multimodal improvements, and complex structures. His expertise in alternative delivery methods and value engineering ensures innovative and cost-effective solutions for every project.

Patrick is an Iowa native and earned his undergraduate degree in civil engineering and masters of structural engineering from Iowa State University.
