Jenny Young is a multimodal transportation planner and engineer who leads statewide, regional, and municipal transportation plans and corridor studies across the Rocky Mountains and the Great Plains. Her portfolio of work spans 27 years and includes projects like CDOT’s groundbreaking Statewide Transportation Plan (2045) which used input from Coloradans to create optimized regional plans that unify the state’s system-wide infrastructure investments. Jenny’s ability to bring together differing interests, prioritize improvements and maximize funding helps clients successfully transition projects from planning into construction. A longtime multimodal advocate, her philosophy of developing balanced transportation solutions for all end-users was instrumental in building FHU’s industry-leading bicycle and pedestrian planning and design practice.
Jenny graduated from Bucknell University with a degree in Civil Engineering, and subsequently received a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado at Denver. She has been at FHU since 1998 and is grateful to be part of a company where her daily work enhances communities and quality of life.
