- Working with CDOT to analyze options to reuse traction sand collected from the edge of the roadways or in detention basins
- Analyzing the chemical make up of the reclaimed sand, conducting a test of potential treatment options, and an analysis of the market for these types of reclaimed materials
- Focus on areas that require a high amount of traction sand, such as mountain passes
